Colorado AFB overview

Air Force Base ( (くう) (ぐん) () () Kuugun Kichi?) is a fictional U.S. Air Force base in Colorado. It is the setting for the final stage of the Aracde Mode or the last five chapters of the "Full Mission" in Time Crisis 4 where the V.S.S.E. agents and Captain William Rush battle against the Hamlin Battalion.

Layout[]

The Air Force Base traversed by the V.S.S.E. agents and Rush is made up of the open area, underground facility ( () () () (せつ) chika shisetsu?) and silos ( (かく) (のう) () kakunou'ko?) which the one at the bottom level ( (さい) (しん) () sai'shin bu?) is where the Unmanned Combat Air Vehicles (UCAVs) are stored.

Open Area[]

Players take control of V.S.S.E. agents Giorgio Bruno and Evan Bernard during gameplay.

The open area comprises of aircraft hangars, watch towers, two lower towers with radar towers on top, two main runways and one underground taxiway. When the V.S.S.E. agents and Rush first arrived via helicopter, there are some damage done with watch towers on fire, craters on the ground, jeeps either overturned or destroyed, and aircraft resembling McDonnell Douglas KC-10 Extender with either nose or right side landing gear damage. The National Guard soldiers deployed are overwhelmed by mantis Terror Bites.

Rush decides to lead the National Guard troops to the underground silo where the UCAVs are stored while the V.S.S.E. agents used the helicopter mounted weapons to destroy anti-aircraft vehicles and armed helicopters, and help Rush and the National Guard troops to clear enemies blocking their way. Shortly after the V.S.S.E. agents destroyed all the anti-aircraft vehicles and armed helicopters, UCAVs are launched from the underground silo while Wild Dog appears and uses a grappling hook to snare onto the helicopter in an attempt to crash it into a tower. After the V.S.S.E. agents deal enough damage to him, he detonates explosives on the tower base which the helicopter barely dodges it and lands safely.

This part ends with Rush and the National Guard troops successfully neutralise the Hamlin Battalion soldiers while the V.S.S.E. agents pursue Wild Dog who has entered the underground facility.

Underground Facility[]

Players take control of William Rush during gameplay.

The underground facility comprises of several floors spread over a wide area. It has a conference room, a control room, an open area leading to a security room and a storage facility leading to a corridor heading to a silo. Parts of the facility are protected by six sentry guns which three of them are located at corridors and the other three are located in the lowest floor of the security room. Those in the security room can be retracted into metal coverings which cannot be penetrated.

Rush and the National Guard soldiers enter the underground facility which has been completely taken over by the Hamlin Battalion. At an entry point, they have to destroy mantis Terror Bites before the door opened.

Moving forward while defeating the enemies and mite Terror Bites along the corridors, Rush encounters a door with a red lock indicator which requires a key to enter. He goes up one floor to go to the control room which has a key to unlock the door while defeating the enemies along with beetle Terror Bites which attacked him in the control room.

After heading back to the locked door, Rush unlocks it only to see three dead National Guard soldiers and a sentry gun shooting a National Guard soldier at the corridor in front. Two more National Guard soldiers arrive and attempt to destroy the sentry gun only to get themselves shot and killed. Rush destroys the sentry gun and moves forward only for an explosion to occur in a passageway in front of him. Two National Guard soldiers attempting to defeat the enemy are overwhelmed by mosquito Terror Bites. Rush defeats the enemies and the mosquito Terror Bites, and head up to a partially open fire shutter near the end of a corridor.

Crawling in to enter an area filled with flammable gas, the fire shutters are activated, forcing Rush to find a valve to shut off the gas while defeating the enemies using only a knife. After finding the valve and turning off the gas, Rush proceeds to an open area where the security room is behind a locked door (in the process, destroyed a sentry gun at a corridor which has killed three National Guard soldiers).

After having to defeat enemies and mantis Terror Bites while First Lieutenant Elizabeth Conway attempted to unlock the door to the security room, Rush enters the security room to unlock a security door blocking the path of the V.S.S.E. agents. After unlocking the door, Rush had to destroy 3 sentry guns to release the lock to the lower levels.

After destroying the sentry guns, Rush proceeds on to the storage facility (having to defeat more enemies and mite Terror Bites; and destroy a sentry gun in a dark area of the facility) where he goes up to the control room to unlock a door leading to a silo.

After unlocking the door; and defeating more enemies along with mosquito and mantis Terror Bites, Rush exits the storage facility and meets up with a National Guard Unit.

Silos[]

Players take control of V.S.S.E. agents Giorgio Bruno and Evan Bernard during gameplay of the A1 block and in the bottom level while players take control of William Rush during gameplay of the A4 and A2 blocks.

The silos comprises of four blocks. The A1, A4 and A2 blocks has standard fighter planes parked on various turntables, aircraft engines and missiles stacked all over. The A1 block has a wall trap comprising of missiles on the left, aircraft engines on the center and electric prongs on the right. The A4 and A2 blocks have walls on some of the raised platforms which are automatically raised when Rush walks into a platform. The bottom level has UCAVs stored inside and has the UCAVs controls accessible via a set of stairs and protected by two laser sentries.

While Rush and the National Guard soldiers hurry towards the silo blocks, he bumped into Evan who was running from a right side corridor. When Evan pointed a gun at him, the National Guard soldiers immediately draw out their handguns followed by Giorgio who pointed his handgun towards them. Recognising the V.S.S.E. agents, Rush immediately tells all to wait and commented that the V.S.S.E. agents made it out alive (which Evan replied that Rush also made it out alive as well).

While all of them continue heading to the silo, First Lieutenant Conway informs them that Wild Dog is inside the silo causing the V.S.S.E. agents to split ways with Rush and the National Guard soldiers to deal with him. They boarded an elevator and arrived at the A1 block where Wild Dog is waiting. Despite Wild Dog's weapon arm which can fire bullets and rockets, aircrafts missiles fired as traps set by Wild Dog and the support of Hamlin Battalion soldiers, the V.S.S.E. agents defeated all the enemy soldiers causing Wild Dog to activate a wall trap after firing a rocket at a transport gondola which trapped them. Still, the V.S.S.E. agents destroyed the wall trap and are about to head further underground via elevator when Wild Dog used his tractor beam weapon arm to hurl items such as shipping containers, canisters and forklifts at them. After a fight, the V.S.S.E. agents finally defeated Wild Dog which caused his tractor beam weapon arm to malfunction and pulled all sorts of items towards him. After a while, Wild Dog pulled out a detonator and blew himself up which in turn causes the V.S.S.E. agents to plunge straight down to the bottom level silo (during the plunge, the V.S.S.E. agents have a glimpse of Wild Fang who was defeated by Rush at around the same time).

While the V.S.S.E. agents battle against Wild Dog, Rush and the National Guard soldiers battle against the Hamlin Battalion soldiers at A4 and A2 blocks. Despite the fierce enemy attacks (including the use of a barricade which had to be destroyed by a fighter aircraft missile) and Terror Bites, Rush and the National Guard soldiers defeated all the enemies and continue advancing. Along the way, Wild Fang appeared and challenged Rush to a man-to-man fight after using his dive kick and leg tractor beam to isolate Rush from the National Guard soldiers. After a fight, Wild Fang is defeated and is dealt with a roundhouse kick by Rush, causing him to plunge and getting hit by a UCAV.

After the V.S.S.E. agents landed hard at the bottom level, the Hamlin Battalion soldiers ambushed them but William Rush and National Guard soldiers arrived at the bottom level in time. The presence of William Rush and National Guard soldiers proved a distraction for the V.S.S.E. agents are able to run forward while defeating all the Hamlin Battalion soldiers without encountering any counterfire. With all the Hamlin Battalion soldiers defeated, the V.S.S.E. agents encountered the Hamlin Battalion leader-in-chief Gregory Barrows who replied to Giorgio Bruno's question that he planned to use the UCAVs to destroy every major city of the United States. Soon after, he engaged against the V.S.S.E. agents in combat. In combat, Barrows used two Desert Eagle handguns, every type of Terror Bites and infantry soldiers. Despite this, the V.S.S.E. agents are able to defeat all the Terror Bites and infantry soldiers which forced Barrows to retreat to the control panel while destroying the stairs to said panel. The National Guard soldiers formed a human ladder to allow the V.S.S.E. agents to continue the fight. After a fight which included two laser sentries firing slashing lasers, Barrows is defeated. Rush gives the V.S.S.E agents the final lift needed to get to the control panel to stop the UCAVs and they pressed big red buttons on the control panel which self destructed all fired missiles and signals the UCAVs to return to base.
