In Cobra The Arcade, the primary antagonistic group is the Pirate Guild, a mafia-like criminal organization that spans various planets across the galaxy. Their members form a tight network of criminals and gangsters that span a large variety of criminal enterprises. Although their portrayal in Cobra the Arcade are very similar to their portrayal in the original manga and anime, it does have some differences in some details.

Background[]

A Criminal Organization made of space pirates that once tried to recruit Cobra into their ranks, only to be rejected by his lone-wolf personality. Since then, Cobra has become a sworn enemy of the Pirate Guild, with a hefty reward to anyone that can kill him. This organization is made up of intimidating and imposing criminal figures and their subordinates.

Notable Members[]

Crystal Bowie[]

Cobra's arch enemy and captain of the Pirate Guild ship, the Black Sheep. He is a cyborg who has a crystalline body and a golden metallic skeleton. His right arm has a large metallic claw that can he fire, extend or throw the hook like a boomerang. He also can throw punches with great power as well. During the Story 5 battle, Crystal Bowie is seen splitting himself into clones to confuse and overwhelm his enemies.

Gypsy Dog[]

A Casino Owner and prominent Pirate Guild member. He wears an imposing suit of green armor with large horns on the sides of the head. He also wears a fur-collared black shirt and a short tunic with long flowing apron from the waist. He tries to keep his hands clean by sending out Pirate Guild soldiers to pacify the Cobra and Lady, and even sends out his loyal cyborg Cyberwolf, before having to take matters into his own hands and tries to shoot Cobra himself.

Cyberwolf[]

A female cyborg under Gypsy Dog's command. She runs on all fours like a wolf with amazing speed and agility. She tackles and scratches and fires bullets from the gun attached to her back to attack.

The Executioners[]

A pair of cybernetically-enhanced prison wardens that posses strong fighting skills and superhuman strength. They are seen tearing columns from the base and using them as weapons against Cobra and Lady. They don't seem to be given individual names

Turvage[]

A mysterious, vegetable-like humanoid alien who works for the Pirate Guild. In some works he is seen with a mask covering his mouth, but it is not present in Cobra the Arcade. His mouth is a strange plant-like opening with a tongue-like tentacle emerging from it. He is prepared for his fight with Cobra as he is equipped with a trio of energy reflection satellites that nullify the targeting effects of the Psycho Gun. He confronts Cobra and Lady who are trying to escape the Sid Prison at a prison entry port. He mainly attacks by whipping the tentacles from his arms, or shooting explosive plant seeds from his body. He can use his reflection satellites to charge an electrical attack as well. He has the ability to infect others with his seeds and place them under his command as seen with Catherine during the end of Story 2-2. She also attacks the player with vine whips and projectile seed attacks.

Infantry Types[]

Normal Soldier[]

Normal soldiers clad in silver jumpsuits and gray supply packs. The uniform consists also of long boots and long gloves and a belt with round buckle. Normal soldiers sport gasmasks as well.

Boar Soldier[]

These soldiers wear bright red jumpsuits with golden supply packs on their backs. They seem to part of a pig-like race and have two prominent tusks. They sport an equally bright red Mohawk as well. They seem to be They have excellent aim and have a tendency to land shots on the player.

Tengu Soldier[]

These soldiers are wearing blue colored jumpsuits that are modified to have no sleeves. They also wear black hoods as well. They have a distinct bird-like or tengu-like appearing with a prominent beak. Their eyes do not have pupils and are solid white. They are more frequently seen using specialized weapons like machine guns, rocket launchers, and knives.

Dancer Assassins[]

A squadron of seductive dancers armed with cutlass-style swords. They wear an outfit consisting of an ornate golden bikini and gold jewelry accessories. They also have shaved bald heads minus the high ponytail. They have tattoos on their left thigh and on their foreheads.

Cyborg Soldier[]

Cybernetically enhanced soldiers that are seen in Story 1 riding on Casino building walls with their advanced rocket skates. They wear an outfit comprised of a black jumpsuit and stark white armor, they have a noticeable white mask that they wear as well.

Prison Guard[]

These are prison guards that work for Sid Prison in Story 2. They wear a uniform made up of purple jumpsuit and golden armor pieces. They are seen flying around on airlifts keeping order in the prison facility.

Snow Gorillas[]

A criminal organization is affiliated and works with the Pirate Guild. It's notable for bring comprised of almost entirely of female members.

Ironhead[]

A Female cyborg who has a body that shines like gold. She rides on her fished-shaped mecha called a barracuda. Her golden shield that deflects bullets and prevents Psycho Gun lock-on. She can slash, thrust, and fire beams from her sword. When her health is low, she detaches from her body and attacks with energy attacks with her mouth

Zoros[]

A large imposing cyborg soldier sent by the Snow Gorillas to stop Cobra and Lady. He towers over the pair and has a very large pair of beam cannons attached on his back.

Sandra[]

Infantry Types[]

The Snow Gorillas are made up of female soldiers dressed in full-body camouflage jumpsuits. They can be seen attacking on foot and Pirate Guild jetpacks. During Story 3-2 They can also be seen riding rocket skis and snowmobiles as well.

Normal Soldier[]

The rank-and-file in the Snow Gorillas organization. They are identified by their yellow camouflage fatigues.

Sharpshooter Soldier[]

These soldiers wear pink fatigues and have a tendency to be more accurate then Normal soldiers.

Specialist Soldier[]

These soldiers wear white fatigues and are usually seen operating heavy weaponry or specialized equipment more often.

Swordians[]

A group of sentient swords who have telekientic abilities that allow them to move around by using their powers to manipulate suits of armor that act as their bodies. They can perform various types of slashes with their swords and even generate a shock wave from their sword and direct it towards their enemies. They seem to be inhabitants of the Pyramid that is the setting for Story 4. Their armored bodies are impervious to gunfire and hits from the Psycho Gun. Many of the Swordians have a tendency to attack before shortly retreating.

King Babel[]

He is the king of the Sword People, and his telekinesis is stronger than that of the other Sword People. Like his subordinates, he uses sword slashes, jump slashes, and Kamaitachi (shock waves from the sword). He will destroy a pillar once and send debris flying (displays DANGER!). He can also use telekinesis to attack by sending pillars and their debris flying. In this state, he cannot take damage. When his stamina is low, he will switch his sight and hearing with the opponent, and become invisible. His weak point is his main body, the sword.

Sentry Bots[]

Small robots that are equipped with weapons that can fly around and fire at the player. These bots tend to play towards their strength and try to overwhelm their targets by sheer numbers. They seem to be manufactured by large production units of some kind as seen in Story 2.

Elephant Ship[]

A small ship that is piloted by a single Pirate Guild soldier. The front resembles the head of an elephant with tusks. It is prominently seen during the end of the escape from the Sid Prison trying to stop Cobra and Lady.

Sentinel Ship[]

Ships used by the Snow Gorillas. They have a tetrahedral shape with a large glass-like view-port on one end and thrusters on the other sides. They are seen most prominently during Story 3, as they speed across the snowy landscape at high speeds. They can be seen to be piloted by two Snow Gorilla soldiers inside of the ship.

Barracuda[]

Flying fish-like robots that appear during the boss fight against Ironhead and she rides a special barracuda. They have cylindrical bodies and come in brown and blue colors. The blue fish are generally more aggressive and fire bullets from their mouth more frequently. The brown fish tend to ram and attack their targets with their mouths but occasionally fire bullets.

Swordian Fish[]

Smaller, torpedo-like robots that reside in the Swordian water chamber in Story 4 where a school of them attack Cobra and Lady. They rise and fly into the air before hovering, targeting, and flying towards their target. Like the Swordians, they seem to only attack once before retreating, meaning the player does not have to destroy a single fish to continue.
